OK, undeterred, I triple-bagged this one and filled it with premixed woodpecker feed rather than unshelled peanuts. Astonishingly, I walked from the yard back to my laptop in the house to see that a squirrel had already arrived and started tucking in. It looks like this bag isn’t going to last any longer than the last one; do they think I’m made of plastic bags, for goodness sake?

It’ll be interesting to see how the morning crew takes to the woodpecker food. I have the video finished from yesterday’s morning session, but I’m going to hold off on posting it until tonight, because there’s already the 4:30 video that you posted earlier… The video of all the stuff I recorded in the morning is a whopping 18 and a half minutes! And that doesn’t include the part where the squirrels were ripping up the second bag! That’s the length of one of my normal projects (and I wonder how long the entire thing would have lasted…?)
