I’d love to get a shot like this some time! I don’t have any of the squirrels acclimated to climb on anything here, but there is a rope tied to the clothesline (I’m not sure why, really) and I just hung it around the tree for the new shot this afternoon — maybe they’ll be interested in that? Eh, time will tell! I also had an idea to do something where a nut was suspended on a long board (kind of like my overhead camera system was, where it’s just a long board running across the yard about 10′ off the ground) where a camera sits at one end (away from the tree) and there’s a nut in the middle, or closer to the camera — maybe the nut could even be tied down with a wiretie or something to make it a little more interesting to the squirrel trying for it… I wonder how close they’d get to the camera in able to get the nut before they’d chicken out…?
